Migrating Bird
by Soumi Mitra Bookmark and Share
I never realized
the meaning of being nest-less
before I left my mother’s home
in search of my pursuits.
And now when I wander
like a vagabond
without any safety net beneath
I do feel like a bird.
The only difference is
even birds come back to their nests
at the end of the day.
I have several transitory resting places;
for I do not want any perpetual place of harbour.
Am I aping a migrating bird?
