Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams returned home after a 195-day record space odyssey with Space shuttle Atlantis making a smooth and safe landing at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Landing of Atlantis marked the end of a record-setting space flight by Sunita Williams lasting 194 days, 18 hours and 58 minutes. Indian Navy Adds Punch
With Its First US Warship by Arun Kumar

The Indian Navy Friday commissioned its first warship acquired from the US as INS Jalashwa (Sea Horse), marking a quantum jump in integral sealift and airlift capabilities of Indian maritime forces. With the acquisition of an old US warhorse, the USS Trenton, India joins a select group of nations operating a Landing Platform Dock (LPD) giving it enhanced capability to move troops and equipment to greater distances in furtherance of its maritime interests.
