Fake Passport, Visa Racket Unearthed;
One Held

Delhi Police Sunday unearthed a massive racket of fake passports and visas, run from a computer institute in Tilak Vihar area by a west Delhi resident.

Bhupinder Singh was arrested early Sunday while he was on his way to Punjab to deliver the fake passports and visas there, police said.

Police seized over 300 fake travel documents from the accused, including 25 forged passports, 114 fake visas of Europe, seven each of the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Malaysia and Switzerland, 12 of Korea, three each of Japan and Mexico, 25 of the US and nine of Senegal, besides six fake driving licenses of United Arab Emirates.

All the forged documents were seized from Singh's car that was intercepted near Janakpuri metro station on a tip-off that he would be leaving for Punjab.

Later, during a raid at his residence, police recovered a laptop, a spare hard disc, one scanner, one printer, two fake dyes for embossing visa logos of Britain and Canada, besides a huge quantity of holograms, fake security stickers and fake rubber stamps of various embassies.

During the interrogation, it was found Singh was involved in four earlier cases of cheating and forgery, police said.
